Purchase Ledger Clerk


Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am - 5:00 pm


Job Type:
Full-time


Salary:
£19,836.00-£25,000.00 per year


Location:
Willenhall (In-person)


Responsibilities:


  • Process and maintain the purchase ledger with accurate and timely recording of invoices, payments, and expenses.
  • Verify and reconcile supplier statements, ensuring all invoices are accounted for.
  • Prepare and process payment runs, including checks, BACS transfers, and direct debits.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues with invoices or payments.
  • Assist with monthend closing activities related to the purchase ledger.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records of all financial transactions.
  • Provide support to the finance team as needed.

Experience:


  • Previous experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software.
  • Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or trends.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
