The role
If you're someone with proven experience writing news for healthcare professionals then we'd love to speak to you. We can offer a competitive salary and benefits package and flexible working conditions.

This role reports to the Editor and Global Editorial Director.


What you will be doing

  • Sourcing and writing clinical and medicopolitical news for our professional medical audiences;
  • Building and maintaining contacts and connections with key experts and organisations within our key specialist areas;
  • Using social media to engage with audiences;
  • Using content management systems to upload and publish news, reviewing and proof reading content;
  • Attending and reporting on medical conferences in the UK and Europe; and
  • Maintaining ethical standards of journalism as well as positive working relationships with _the limbic _staff and other key stakeholders.

Who you are

  • Have a solid understanding of science and health reporting for a highly specialised audience;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including demonstrated ability to communicate with and write high quality copy for an expert medical audience;
  • Experience in a fastpaced news reporting environment with tight deadlines;
  • Flexible and a proactive 'can do' attitude and the ability to work autonomously as well as with a team across different time zones;
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in managing a complex workload, problem solving and use of initiative;
  • Experience using content management systems, Twitter, LinkedIn.
