Description
Our client based in Northampton are seeking a Group Accounting Manager to join them in a FTC which will be between 9-12 months.
Based on skills, experience and relevant qualification the salary is between £55-65kInterim Group Accounting Manager
Key Purpose
- Produce reporting in accordance with all requirements and within deadlines.
- Provide assistance to the Head of Group Accounting with International reporting requirements and ad hoc project work.
- Effective management of Team.
- Leading role in various month end, quarter end and year end reporting processes.
- Assist countries in accounting and planning issues.
- Actively take part in major Group projects.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee the production of the consolidated group accounts, including liaising with Group Auditors.
- Take a lead role in the control and reporting of actual results on a monthly basis to Societe Generale via IFC packages, including monthly consolidation of various entities as required, while providing analysis and understanding of key business and technicalaccounting issues.
- Take a lead role in the control and reporting of actual results for partnerships, including all required reporting.
- Ensure all deadlines are met by careful planning and managing of both workload and staff resources.
- Work with Head of Group Accounting on ad hoc projects and country issues and be part of the operational review team.
- Take the lead in internal control procedures to include tax reporting, statutory to management reconciliations, Balance Sheet review and analysis.
- Management of supervision of Accounting Policies and continuous monitoring of IFRS to assess implications to the Group.
- Confidently communicate with the Reporting Teams in the countries, partnerships and Societe Generale Bank in Paris concerning on going accounting, reporting and planning issues.
- Assist with the integration of new subsidiaries, including training of new starters.
- Assist the Group FP&A Project Accountant in development of financial systems and reporting, ensuring account maintenance and accounting procedures are up to date.
- Continuous departmental efficiency monitoring to drive improvement.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements and to ensure success at audit.
- Recruit, train, motivate, engage, manage and retain competent team members.

Essential Criteria
- Professional Accountancy Qualified Status (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
- Demonstration of strong leadership skills

- Good communicator and listener who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing
