In addition, the University has recently launched its ambitious three-year Sport & Active Wellbeing Vision , aimed at inspiring, growing and embedding sport and active wellbeing into the University and wider community, and is undergoing some key developments as part of this exciting new Vision.


Working as part of the SportsPark department, the Sports Assistant will form part of the Business & Operations team, and will assist the Sports Facilities Managers and Sports Operations Coordinators in the day-to-day operations of the SportsPark, including the setting up of equipment, support with maintenance of facilities, cleaning and reception-based duties.

The post-holder will also spend approximately 20% of their time supporting sport development-based projects.

As a key team player, you will have:

  • An excellent understanding and experience of customer service and delivery
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge and experience in sports facility operations, including health and safety
  • An ability to use your initiative, and contribute to the development of sport and active wellbeing to a range of customers.
