Our client is an award winning and dynamic successful property finance lender, who are experiencing rapid growth as they continue to be recognised within the industry.


Within a short period of time, they have been awarded Best Newcomer within the short-term property finance industry and since been short-listed for other industry awards.

They provide a range of property finance options including, bridging, refurbishment auction, and second charge lending.

With outstanding client service reviews and a high-quality reputation in the industry, they aim to secure funding for clients within shortertime frames to support the demands of their clients as they are genuinely committed to providing a high-quality service.


Due to huge success and to meet their ambitious plans to continue growing, they are looking to expand their team and hire an Assistant Underwriter / Case Manager to underwrite and take responsibility for managing each new case from submission to completion.

This opportunity will suit an Assistant Underwriter looking to develop their underwriting experience in the short-term lending industry.

About you

  • Good knowledge of Bridging finance transactions within the property finance sector.
  • Organised and hardworking.
  • Good work ethic and selfdisciplined.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively and work to deadlines.
  • Analytically minded with high attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic individual who can work well in a team.
  • Able to form and maintain working relationships with intermediaries and professionals e.g., solicitors and valuers.
  • Capable of working independently and within a team.

Responsibilities:


  • Action new lending requests for bridging loans and analyse credit worthiness.
  • Preparing offer documentation and ensuring all loan conditions are met throughout the draw down process.
  • Handling broker calls on specific cases under review; manage customer expectations
  • Liaising with the sales and credit team and Surveyors, Solicitors and Clients to effectively manage the lending process.
  • Be able to articulate rationale for lending decisions to various levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preparing indicative terms and loan offer letters
  • On boarding new investors and preparing investment memorandums for investors.
  • Preparing client statements for investors and borrowers.
  • Ensuring documents assessed in line with internal policies and procedures as well as regulatory guidelines.
  • Updating contacts in the CRM database.
  • Attending team meetings and providing loan updates to Management.
  • Carrying out adhoc duties and providing assistance as and when required.
  • Assist in the preparation and gathering of loan related documentation.

Experience:


  • Minimum of 2 year's experience working as an Assistant Underwriter and Case Manager
  • Experienced in managing cases to completion.
  • Strong customer service skills with experience in forming and maintaining relationships with intermediaries and professionals.
  • Previous experience of transacting development finance will be advantageous.
  • Commercially aware with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Independent, organised, and able to work on your own initiative, with a flexible approach to work.
  • Proactive in your approach to the role and keen and confident in managing the process.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
