Job overview:


  • We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated dietitian to join a team of 3 paediatric diabetes dietitians. You will be part of a larger team of 11 paediatric dietitians providing a service across The Northern Care Alliance Foundation Trust. Ideally you will have experience of either paediatrics or diabetes although training can be given. You will be an integral member of the MDT Paediatric Diabetes team providing a service to paediatric patients with diabetes.

Main duties of the job:


The post holder will:
Attend MDT Paediatric diabetes clinics

Undertake Structured education sessions

Provide annual reviews for the patients

See Newly diagnosed patients on the ward and at home after diagnosis

Cover a weekly general paediatric clinic

  • Good knowledge of Nutrition and Dietetics

Desirable criteria:


  • Experience of diabetes, including Type 1 diabetes
  • Experience of Paediatric dietetics

  • HCPC Registered

Desirable criteria:

- membership of the BDA

  • Completion of postgraduate BDA paediatric modules
