The Executive Network Group are currently recruiting for a National Business Development Manager ideally based with 1 hour from Cambridge.

This is working for a national and growing leading business within Facilities Management.
You will prospect new business by advertising, networking, cold calling, or other methods of producing interest from potential clients.

Then you will design persuasive approaches and proposals to convert potential clients into business customers by presentingnew solutions and services to clients, you will develop and maintain existing accounts.

£60,000 + Car Allowance/Commission (Negotiable)

Ideally within 1 hour of Cambridgeshire


_Overview of the role_:


  • All about growth, element of growing existing business but really about going out there, knocking down doors and creating opportunities.
  • Someone with the ability to identify and build a long term active pipeline, resulting in tender opportunities.
  • To be able to create a strategy to go after the 4 key target markets to be outlined on a follow up call;
  • Negotiate and successfully close sales opportunities to meet and exceed agreed sales targets within the target markets agreed.
  • Building relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and ensuring our proposals meet those needs
  • Support the tendering process as required, including internal and external tender meetings, visits and presentations
  • Maintain the Company CRM database including contacts, opportunities, meetings and significant communication
  • Provide monthly report detailing activity, sales pipeline, sales forecast and progress against annual sales targets
  • Attending conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners, raise Company profile and keep up to date with market trends.
  • Assisting within the Commercial team to produce PQQ documents, tender documents,
  • Assisting preparation of mobilisation/handover documentation where required
  • All other day to day activities to support successful tendering activities and securing new work
  • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values.
  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all other departments.
  • Support the Directors and Senior Management as required advancing the aims of the business

Key Criteria:


  • A relationship builder
  • Familiar with Hard/Soft FM
  • Experience within M&E maintenance industry
  • Track record of client/account management and developing new business
  • A valid UK driving licence.
