We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Invoicing, Data and Revenue Assurance Team as a Data Analyst.


Working alongside the Team Leader you will provide and carry out reliable, precise, and accurate analysis of data in order contribute to the delivery of a high-quality and effective Invoicing, Data and Revenue Assurance function for the business and Whistlcustomers.

This Data Analyst role requires hands on analysis activity but will vary slightly according to which of the following teams you will be working on:

Invoicing

  • Process the data generated by the business to create invoices through a combination of automated and manual processes
  • Manage all current billing streams, ensuring customers are accurately allocated to the appropriate billing stream(s)
  • Provide analysis and reporting on invoicing data and all corresponding business data sources
  • Monitor and record the completeness of the full Whistl billing cycle
  • Support the Team Leader in the production of team reports for the business

Data

  • Ensure that data received and used by the team is clean, accurate, and available within the required time frames. Perform data reconciliations to ensure all data is complete
  • Work with the team to ensure that all supporting data outputs are generated for use by other stakeholders
  • Identify, highlight, and look to develop solutions to problems within regular processes or created by business change/system issues
  • Carry out analytical reviews of data within the team and report to the wider business areas
  • Provide analysis and support for adhoc projects

Quality & Revenue Assurance

  • Monitor and report on service level compliance
  • Work with the team to ensure all completeness checks on the revenue cycle are carried out and company internal controls are followed
  • Proactively seek process enhancement solutions looking to constantly improve inputs, throughputs, and outputs of the team and feeding back into the business
  • Deliver best in class behaviour around processes and outputs
  • Analyse business data streams and report on trends and possible solutions to reduce additional revenue expenditure
  • Carry out analytical reviews of data with the team and report to the business
  • Build and maintain robust revenue reconciliations to assure all billable revenue has been captured in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ensure that all internal control frameworks have been completed each month by the appropriate stakeholders and provide support during control audit periods
  • Identify, highlight, and actively seek process enhancements solutions to report back into the business
  • Drive continuous improvement within the business through insight and data analysis

Essential Skills

  • Works collaboratively in a small team to deliver a highquality service to customers and Whistl stakeholders; able to show empathy with other departments and the challenges they face
  • Able to analyse data, spot trends, draw conclusions, think creatively, and make recommendations accordingly
  • Selfmotivated, able to turn work around quickly whilst still maintaining excellent levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent and confident communicator both verbally and in writing
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to prioritise own workload to meet conflicting, varied, and demanding deadlines
  • IT Literate proficient in the use of MS Office including intermediate MS Excel skills with experience in pivot tables. Vlookups and filters etc
  • Confident and able to appropriately question and challenge the accepted norm in order to drive continuous process improvement
  • Able to communicate complex information effectively when dealing with stakeholders at a range of levels
  • Able to take the lead when analysing or reviewing issues relevant to team activities

Qualifications

  • Educated to A level or equivalent (i.e. Level 3 qualification)
  • Experience of invoicing practices and managing high volumes of data
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft Navision Dynamics
  • Experience of working in a corporate environment operating standard processes and invoicing practices whilst handling high volumes of data
