Financial Accountant opportunity within a growing business offering a chance to lead the financial management and drive operational and commercial performance of the business.

THE COMPANY

The UK subsidiary business of a leading European manufacturing business which has operations in several countries and a growing continental footprint.

The UK business is a product design and sales operation led by a Managing Director with 25 years industryexperience and has ambitious plans to grow the business over the next - 5 years.

The customer base is expanding rapidly and includes FTSE Plc groups and independent privately owned businesses.

THE OPPORTUNITY

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accountant (Qualified or QBE) to join as Financial Accountant and provide critical financial and commercial support to the Managing Director and Senior Management Team.

The business is lean and agile, and the incoming Financial Accountant will have full responsibility over all aspects of financial & management accounting across the business.

The position will develop into a Head of Finance / FD role in the fullness of time.

As Financial Accountant your responsibilities will include:

Production of Monthly Management Accounts including financial analysis and commercial commentary, and presenting to Managing Director and Senior Management Team
Providing the Managing Director with regular commercial sales and margin reports / analysis
Cash Flow forecasting and financial strategy planning with the Managing Director
Reviewing commercial information on sales and product costs, optimising pricing on new and existing products
Bank Reconciliations and multicurrency payment transactions
Overseeing Purchase & Sales Ledger, Payroll and other areas of finance
Liaising with external auditors
