Solent Airport is a CAA Licensed Aerodrome providing an Aerodrome Flight Information Service, and Rescue and Fire Fighting Service (RFFS) CAT A2.

Solent Airport is a fast-growing General Aviation (GA) airport on the South coast of England.

It has successfully created a market for both corporate and GA aircraft as a gateway to the South of England with movements of c30,000 per annum now being supported.

Our objective is to extend Solent Airport's existing footprint in the corporate and general aviation market, recognising the growth potential from the industry sectors highlighted, whilst exploiting the capacity constraints other Airports in the region are experiencing as a result of increased commercial aircraft movements.

Responsibilities:

• To provide a Flight Information Service (FIS) to aircraft at and in the vicinity of Solent Airport Daedalus. IAW CAP1032, CAP797 and the MAFIS.
• Enter and maintain data on all Airport operational systems.
• To ensure that safety is always given the highest priority regarding operations at Solent Airport and to comply with company safety management policies and practices.
• To provide all customer services in support of Airport operational requirements, including processing crane and UAV permits.
• Processing Airport access forms and providing airside safety briefs for visitors.
• To carry out duties to support the Airport safeguarding requirements.
• To ensure activities on the Airport are conducted safely and are compliant with the Airport Operations manual.
• To always provide excellent customer service.
• To effectively liaise as required with customers, outside agencies, contractors and tenants.
• To liaise with / assist the Airport RFFS, aircraft handlers and refuellers.
• To attend relevant regulatory or licensing related meetings as required.

Requirements:

• A valid Flight Information Services Officer licence is desirable.
• If you do not have an AFISO licence, you will have the capability to conduct the required training to achieve an AFISO licence in accordance with CAP 103
• You will be proficient in MS Office packages and ideally have experience of working in a safety critical environment.
• Experience of working in the aviation industry is highly desirable.
• Experience of working at a UK CAA licensed aerodrome and/or a PPL is desirable.
• You will have a full UK driving licence.
• You will be physically fit and able to pass relevant CAA medical standards for AFISO duties.

This is a shift working post, often with short notice airport extensions. Personnel must be prepared to remain at work if the situation demands.
