At Totally Local Company an opportunity has arisen for an Gardener who possess' a professional demeanour, sound judgement and integrity to join our Commercial Grounds team.

What you will be doing in this role

You will work in our Commercial Grounds Team as a professional Gardener, servicing Grounds Maintenance Contracts at schools, colleges and other commercial premises and locations
You'll work in a professional manner and to undertake all tasks associated with the post safely.
You'll operate grounds maintenance equipment, such as walk behind mowers, hedge cutters, strimmer's, blowers, and be responsible for ensuring they are cleaned, maintained and fit for use
Undertake additional Grounds Maintenance duties such as shrub & tree planting, sports line marking, trailer/hand gritting, and minor hard landscaping.
You'll report to operational chargehands/supervisors any concerns to allow them to address performance and other staff related issues.
You'll be responsible for the welfare and safety of yourself and others within your team
When working individually or within a team you must ensure you perform your duties efficiently and effectively in line with business objectives.
You'll ensure that all appropriate Health & Safety policies and procedures are understood in order to provide a Safe environment for staff, customers and members of the public.

What we are looking for

You'll have PA1/PA6 qualifications
Desirable
You'll have experience in working to and achieving operational targets.
You'll have the ability to maintain high quality horticultural standards.
You'll have knowledge and understanding of horticultural standards, working methods and equipment deployed within the Greenspace and Streetcare service.
