Construction Contracts Manager - Housing/Barracks FM Background Required

Scotland (Rosyth based)

Remote working

£50,000 - £60,000 + car


Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Contracts Managers/Managers/Principal Project Managers from across Scotland with extensive refurbishment and capital upgrades work experience, interested in working for a leading estates management companyserving the defence industry.


Our client is engaging on 2 RAMS (Regional Accommodation Maintenance Service) contracts for the MOD and will include responsive and planned preventative maintenance as well as improvement and refurbishment projects to approximately 25,000 homes.


As Construction Contracts Manager you will be responsible for leading the Area team in in planning and delivering all Billable Works to meet all contract outputs of the Regional Accommodation Maintenance Services contract.


Duties

  • Maintain full ownership for all Billable Works activity within your Area.
  • Health, safety and environmental management, in accordance with Amey and Statutory standards.
  • Establish and maintain a solid working relationship with the Area Principal Operations Manager, to ensure the core and billable works teams work collaboratively to provide a seamless service for the client and enhance the Lived Experience for the customer.
  • Weekly Area Performance Meeting with DIO to ensure the planning and monitoring of service delivery is completed in a collaborative manner.
  • Carry out any incident investigations as direct by the Contract Manager.
  • Develop your team to strive for excellence across service delivery, with the final aspiration of enhancing the customers Lived Experience.

Applicant Profile
-
HND, or equivalent, level qualification in a Building/Civil Engineering or Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience
:


  • Experience looking after facilities management contracts at armed forces barracks would be advantageous.
  • CPD Member.
  • Management level qualification in H&S and Environment (e.g. SMSTS).
  • Significant practical management in Construction, Property Maintenance or related field including:
  • Management of the operational delivery of Estate Management tasks and refurbishment projects.
  • Leading an operational team to achieve KPIs.
  • Maintaining strong relations with the customer and meeting customer and end user expectations.
  • Planning, directing and controlling activities.
  • Working knowledge of CDM regulations and Building Regulations.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Health, Safety & Environmental.
  • Quality control.
