Business Delivery Manager / Project Delivery Manager

(Electronic Health Records used to advance Clinical Trials and Drug Development)

Basic Salary - £40-53k (Neg) with bonus and package

Home based role with access to prestigious offices in the Manchester area circa 1-2 times per month (25 days PS in the office)


Solution — The "data" held within Electronic Health records is analysed and interpreted by software and that is subsequently used as a service that advances drug development.

The data is used to direct research and deliver tangible benefits to research-basedcompanies - BIG PHARMA developing new pharmaceutical products / drugs.

The solutions afford clinical customers a real time "live" searchable database that provides a wealth of information to assist companies' developing pioneering lifesaving drugs and devicescutting development time, saving money, and impacting the health of millions globally.

Their technology connects electronic health records (EHRs) across primary and secondary care, and enables rapid patient recruitment, reduces clinical trial development timeand costs.

It also increases responsiveness to patient safety through near real-time monitoring. This technology could be applied to any established health economy across the globe.

This has the potential to change the way that clinical trials are conductedin the future by ensuring drugs get to market faster and therefore improving patient outcomes.

Previous expericne working in a regulated sector - project values £3million plus

Ownership, Investment in outcome and autonomous

Prince 2 or similar

Able to work remotely and deliver results.

Medical / Pharma / Life Science Advantageous but regulated industry experience prerequisite.

Role —


The Business Delivery Manager / Project Delivery Manager will be responsible for the total management / delivery of several key projects currently running within the business.

These projects will be a mixture of externally focused (with clients / customers)based around trials of products within the pharmaceutical vertical and internal - working on the development / commercialisation of new products for sales rollout.

As such the person will be managing both internal and external stakeholders and be autonomouslylooking after projects worth more than £3 million revenue.

Key tasks to include

  • Working in collaboration with Senior Business Delivery Manager and technical teams, to develop and maintain detailed and accurate project plans for a range of either small or large scale, complex projects
  • Manage Project Methodology Framework documentation for all Projects within your remit.
  • As the Business Delivery Manager, you will take a significant role in leading the relationships with the client / enduser of the project.
  • Develop processes for systematic communication with clients and internal staff for project related communications
  • Take an active role in the development of project strategy.
  • Escalate any issues/actions/risks to all senior stakeholders of project.
  • Ensure any issues/actions/risks are tracked with all stakeholders until resolved/closed.
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience at all levels
  • Achievement of organisational and individual KPIs
  • Management of teams tasked with delivering projects, via matrix management arrangements.
  • Delivering assigned projects ontarget and to agreed budget.
  • Relationship management of clients and study sponsor
  • Ensure any lessons learned from current projects are tracked and an action plan put in place to implement process improvements where possible, going forward.
  • Vendor management
  • Delivery of assigned Continuous Improvement initiative i.e., process improvements across the business functions.
  • Collaborate with internal Business Functions to proactively mitigate risks and threats to successful delivery of Business Delivery Portfolio.
Applicant —

  • IRO £23 million +.
  • Commercial acumen around stakeholder management
  • Prince 2/MSP or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Fully versed in implementing Project/governance frameworks to initiate, implement and control delivery of projects.
  • Proven ability to manage client and SRO relationships whilst mitigating complex risks or issues.
  • Excellent understanding of software development methodologies
  • Excellent understanding of delivery of clinical trials and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and individually, as well as aligning to the Business Delivery Team deadlines
