Description

About the role:

We are looking to recruit a Research Associate to support the development, delivery and evaluation of The _Resilient Senior Leaders Programme_ _(RESLEAPS) for senior police officers.

The programme was developed by psychologists at the University of Leicester in partnership with a retired Chief Superintendent.

The transition in and beyond retirement is particularly difficult for senior male officers, who can struggle with a loss of identity in leaving their role, combined with the accumulation of exposure to trauma over the years.

This can result in poor mental health and wellbeing, which the programme aims to address through peer support and reflective group processes.

The Research Associate will work in the Clinical Psychology Unit in the Department of Neuroscience, Psychology and Behaviour in the University of Leicester.

About you:

You will have experience of using qualitative research methods. Have a PhD or equivalent experience of conducting high impact research with a range of stakeholders.

You will have good communication skills with an ability to communicate to a wide range of stakeholders from different disciplines.

You will have experience of delivering projects deliverable to agreed timescales and expertise in translating the outcomes of research into communications and other materials for service users, practitioners and professionals.

Additional information:

Applications for job share will be considered.

As part of the University's ongoing commitment to professional development, this role will also be considered on a seconded basis for existing staff members.

Please ensure this is discussed with your line manager prior to applying. More information regarding secondments can be found here.
