Our home at the London Stadium has a capacity of 62,500 making it one of the biggest club Stadia in the country however our tickets are the lowest priced for London based clubs in the Premier League, echoing objectives to create Affordable Family Football.


In 2018, our Women's team gained a professional status for the very first time, jumping 2 divisions and competed in the Women's Super League (WSL), the premier division of women's football in England.

After finishing a respectable 7th, the team enjoyed particular success in the FA Cup reaching the final of the competition, eventually being beaten by 2017 winners Manchester City.


In April 2019, we opened our brand-new Academy facility based at Chadwell Heath which will help to bring through some of the very best talents in the area, the recent emergence of First Team Players Declan Rice and Ben Johnson are a testament to the work already being done at the Academy.


On the business side, we are continuing to create a Stadium our supporters can call home, with the renaming of the Billy Bonds Stand and Claret and Blue pitch surrounding amongst the latest developments.

Additionally, the Club has achieved the Disability Confident Leader status.


The Club employees a constantly growing workforce of approximately 300 core staff and 500 Foundation and events staff, and is a truly unique place to work.

Position:


The award-winning West Ham United Foundation (WHUF) is seeking a Content Officer to promote and showcase the organisation's outstanding work in the community.


Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, the Content Officer will be part of the West Ham United Foundation's central team, working with colleagues across the Club, and responsible for delivering and analysing multi-channel content to grow awareness and engagement across a range of audiences, in line with the organisation's aims.


Main Responsibilities

  • Plan, create, deliver and monitor content across the Foundation's platforms, meeting deadlines.
  • Work with colleagues across the Club and Foundation, as well as partners, stakeholders and ambassadors, to produce engaging content to demonstrate the breadth of the Foundation's work and showcase positive impact.
  • Coordinate the Foundation's social media channels, boosting engagement.
  • Support the Foundation's overall aims and objectives in line with the marketing and communications strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to promote the efforts and success of the Foundation and see all activities through to completion.
  • Assist Foundation events, campaigns and player engagement activities as a member of the central team.
  • Support the administration and maintenance of policies, procedures and frameworks. Maintaining up to date monitoring, databases and key performance indicator decks, and adhering to relevant guidance.
  • Consistently maintain a high quality of output, in line with Club and Foundation standards.
  • Work collaboratively with others including colleagues, partners, stakeholders and agencies.

Requirements:

Essential

  • Creative, analytical and dynamic
  • Experience of effectively using social media and analytics in a professional capacity
  • Good time management
  • Excellent written and verbal communications with strong attention to detail
  • Availability to work flexible hours on evening and weekends when required
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload
  • A genuine team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable dealing with a variety of partners and stakeholders
  • Ability to connect with audiences in a meaningful way
Desirable

  • An understanding of the third sector
  • Licence to drive and access to a car
