Description
The key aspect of this role is to enhance the patients experience and to develop the nursing contribution to the care and management of patients undergoing acute Plastic surgery focusing on improving quality and enhancing access.
The post holder will co-ordinate acute plastic surgical activity within the specific remit of managing operational issues such as workload, skill mix, bed availability and Theatre utilisation.
This will ensure that acute plastic surgical patients are managed in a most timely and appropriate method according to their needs and the post-operative discharge planning is facilitated in a timely manner.
The post holder will need strong leadership skills and the ability to act as a senior professional role model at all times.
