This position is for Little Fingers Montessori Nursery in Barry Road, East Dulwich.


Little Fingers Montessori Nursery was established in 2012 in a purposely converted semidetached Edwardian house with its own private garden.

They are a small, caring nursery with an enthusiastic and experienced team of Montessori teachers.

Little fingers promote children's enjoyment of learning:

The nursery supports their growing independence both in everyday life and in their natural capacity to learn, and provide a stimulating environment that enables them to learn through all their senses.

As an addition to the curriculum the nursery also invite specialist teachers to do extracurricular activities, such as French, Yoga and Drama, Music & Movement.


Little Fingers Montessori Nursery in Barry Road, East Dulwich, has a _
Baby Room_ for 3 months to 2 year olds, one of the very few Montessori baby rooms in South London, as well as a _
Pre-School_ for 2 to 5 years olds.


We regularly take children out for walks and other outings, taking advantage of all the exciting facilities on offer in Dulwich.

Recent trips have included Dulwich Park, Dulwich Library, Dulwich Picture Gallery, Crystal Palace Farm and the Horniman Museum.

  • The nursery is easily accessible by bus. Nos. 12 and 197 stop right outside the nursery and nos. 40, 176 and 185 stop nearby on Lordship Lane._

Essential Requirements - GCSE Maths and English C or 4, or an equivalent (Functional Skills level 2)

The main responsibilities of this job role will include:


  • Working towards
    Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship.
  • Supporting the development of the childcare provision.
  • Providing an excellent range of activities that ensures that the child learns
    whilst having fun.
  • Being a team player.

Providing challenging and stimulating activities for all children:


  • Taking part in First Aid training as required
  • Responsibility for equal opportunity in delivery, access and attitude in aspects of service delivery
  • Working with teams across the nursery setting

Supporting children's learning and development
:


  • Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for the children.
  • Preparation of food for breakfast, snack and afternoon tea.
  • Supporting children's selfhelp needs.

Being creative and enthusiastic.

  • Following Safeguarding rules and regulations to also meet the Standard of the Childcare Apprenticeship.
Level 3 NVQ - Advanced Diploma Early Years Educator - Your apprenticeship will last for 13 months. You will be supported by an assessor throughout your apprenticeship, as well as a mentor within the nursery.
You will be working full time in the nursery.

Your classroom days will be based online as a remote session which you will need to be fully available for, and your main childcare apprenticeship work will be done in a nursery local to you.
