The Clinic_

NK Active is a young and growing musculoskeletal, podiatry and rehabilitation service. Our motto is Get Active, Stay Active. We aim to be the best musculoskeletal and sports rehabilitation service in the South of England.

We pride ourselves on offering a high-quality patient experience, right through from the initial enquiry to the completion of treatment.

We are currently a small team of 3 Podiatrists, a Rehabilitation Specialist, a Practice Manager and 3 Administrators (including this role).

The Role_
  • Receptionist/Administrator
  • This role is in healthcare and so you will need to work with the principle of patient confidentiality at the forefront of your mind.
  • Diary management and coordination using Meddbase: scheduling appointments, dealing with payments, dealing with enquiries as required.
  • Creating, proof reading and sending patient reports and letters.
  • Stock management.
  • General administrative tasks and keeping reception area clean and welcoming.
  • Full training and support will be offered initially, and as required on an ongoing basis.
  • As the clinic is open from 8am 7pm, on certain days there will be the requirement to work within these hours.

Hours of Work
Clinic is currently open over the following hours.

This role will be for an average of 12.5 hours per week and some hours may be worked on a two-week shift pattern.

Mondays 7.45am to 3.00pm

Tuesdays - 7.45am to 7.00pm

Wednesdays - 7.45am to 5.00pm

Thursdays - 9.30am to 2.30pm

Fridays - 7.45am to 4.30pm


In addition, there will be a requirement to cover reception at other times for pre-planned holiday (including during school holidays), as well as sickness cover where possible.

We are looking for a confident team player, with a friendly and professional manner, who can liaise with both existing and potential patients.

Your personality is just as important to us as your administrative skills.


In addition, whilst we are only a small team, we are a happy and mutually supportive bunch, and you will need to fit seamlessly into this team.

You will be helped, supported, and encouraged to be your best, and you will provide this same support in return.


We also require the below skills:

  • Able to work under pressure at times, prioritising work in a methodical and organised way.
  • Computer literate, confidently using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Ideally, to have used a patient management system such as Cliniko.
  • Able to work as part of a small team, whilst also being able to work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate an empathetic and caring nature.
  • Due to our location you will need to have your own transport, as we are not on a bus/train route.

Previous experience_

  • Working within a customer/patientfocused environment and experience dealing with people both face to face and over the phone.
  • Worked in a medical practice (not essential)
  • Worked as part of the team.
  • Working with medical patient management systems for example Cliniko, Carebit, Meddbase
