Accounts Receivable Assistant


Reports to:
Financial Controller

Lee Spring Ltd are looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing person to join our small accounts team based in Wokingham.

Monday to Thursday , Friday


Salary:
£24,000 to £26,000


Main function:

To effectively and efficiently maintain the accounts receivable function and to assist customers with their queries and payments.


Core responsibilities:


  • Overall responsibility for accounts receivable and credit management of the company debtors (along with parttime credit controller)
  • Accurate allocation of payments received from customers and reviewing unallocated payments
  • Taking credit card payments through our accounting system and over the phone
  • Process credit and debit notes
  • Bank account reconciliation
  • Processing of refunds to customers where necessary
  • Credit checks and control of customer credit limits
  • Working closely with Customer Service advising on bad debtors
  • Keeping the finance controller advised of outstanding debtors
  • Assist Financial Controller and accounts team with additional duties as necessary
(daily invoicing, daily sales report)

Essential Criteria:

Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience within an Accounting environment

High standard of computer literacy, including Excel

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

Ability to organise time and tasks effectively

Ability to work as part of a team

Desirable Criteria:

AAT qualified or part-qualified an advantage

Enthusiastic, friendly, helpful, confident and engaging personality

Positive / 'Can do' attitude
