£50,000 to £60,000 per year:

The Opportunity:


Our client is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys maintaining and building IT Infrastructure to join their growing IT department in the role of Infrastructure Team Lead.


In the Infrastructure Team Lead role, you will help to deliver innovative solutions, making your mark managing and developing a team of engineers, building and maintaining the infrastructure and providing Level 4 operational support.


Skills and Experience:


  • Proficient working within Linux and Microsoft environments
  • Familiarity with fundamental network concepts including NAT and VLANs
  • Skilled in maintaining server backups utilizing various backup and recovery solutions
  • Knowledgeable about iSCSI storage networks
  • Experienced in configuring and troubleshooting switches, firewalls, routers and wireless networks
  • Proficient in setting up IPSEC VPNs across multiple vendor devices

Role and Responsibilities:


  • Leading a small team of engineers, establishing objectives, and conducting routine performance evaluations
  • Taking responsibility for devising and overseeing the Infrastructure roadmap
  • Constructing and managing our onpremises and datacentre infrastructure
  • Offering specialized technical guidance in designing infrastructure solutions
  • Deliver and support the delivery of Level 4 operational support
