An opportunity has arisen for a medical secretary to join the Scientific team in the Edinburgh Fertility Centre (EFC) in the New Royal Infirmary at Little France, Edinburgh.

EFC provides a comprehensive range of services for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with fertility related problems. The diagnostic facility provides around 2000 semen assessments for patients in Lothian and the wider areas. The fertility centre currently carries out 600 cycles of IVF/ICSI annually. The post holder will support the diagnostic andrology and embryology teams within the EFC.

As part of their role they will be expected to liaise directly face-to-face and on the phone with patients for booking semen assessments, liaise with GPs and other medical professionals, send letters and follow up for storage consents, use computer systems (Trak/LIMS/PRISM), raise invoices and provide further administration support as requested.

This is a fixed-term post. The hours are 37.5/week.
