About Us and The Role

At Warwickshire County Council we put children and families at the heart of everything we do and work together to improve their quality of life and ensure they receive early support when they need it.

We are looking for a friendly, professional individual, with a flexible, self-motivated and confident approach, to join our business support team within the Fostering Service.

Although the role is predominately a receptionist one, you will play an essential part in delivering other key business support functions, to ensure that outcomes are met across the many activities delivered by the team.

Your keen eye for detail and the ability to work to tight timescales, as well as the capacity to offer ideas and suggestions for continuous improvement, will be key to team success.

To be successful in the role you will need to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders and so you should enjoy working with the public and demonstrate your ability to organise your workload effectively.

You will be a good communicator with a sound understanding of administration practices and processes and be keen to promote a culture that reflects Warwickshire's behaviours and values.

The Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers. The Fluency Duty for this role is Required. You must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.

Working for Warwickshire County Council means that you will be improving the county and seeing just how much of meaningful difference you make to its people.

We also know that our employees want to do the best job possible, so we believe in properly rewarding our staff for their hard work and commitment.

Rewarding our employees isn't just about pay.

We want to do everything we can to ensure that we protect your well-being, and you can enjoy a work/life balance.

This includes a generous annual leave entitlement and The Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).

The health and wellbeing of staff is further supported with flexible working; a Family Friendly policy; Employee Assistance Programme, Cycle to work scheme and staff discounts with major brands and retailers.

Here at Warwickshire County Council, we support a high performing, agile and adaptable workforce who are offered the opportunity to achieve their full potential, supported by our induction, appraisal, and development programme.

If you are looking for a vibrant and fast paced environment, where no day is ever the same, and a workplace where you can make a personal difference, then we would like to hear from you
