BARISTA / CATERING ASSISTANT.

JOB DESCRIPTION.

PURPOSE.
Cardiff Medical Centre Sports and Social Club.


Cafe14 Duties
1)

To assist with the serving of drinks during each trading session and also in the preparation of the serveries and cellars for these sessions, to include:
i. Movement of stock, bottles, foods, etc. ii. Cleanliness of cellar, servery and lounges.

2) To assist in the general maintenance of the Club's facilities.

3) To suggest and assist in the implementation and promotion of events organised within the Club, for the members.

4) To ensure that all areas connected with the café and catering departments, including external areas, are kept as clean and tidy as possible. (i.e.
Shelving, Glass/dishwashers,

Ice machines, Coffee machines, coffee machine, etc)

5) To assist with the supervision of all activities and functions, which take place within the Club premises.

6) To assist with the accurate checking of all deliveries made to the Sports and Social

Club.

7) To assist in maintaining a satisfactory level of discipline amongst the customers who use the cafe and to report irregular behaviour to the Manager.


Catering Duties.
1) To assist the duty cook in preparing food for the Club's trading sessions and / or functions.

2) To assist in the serving of the prepared food during the trading sessions.

3) To collect all monies charged for the food and to enter the monies in the correct. manner into the cash register.

4) To undergo in-house training for food preparation and basic food hygiene.

5) To assist in maintenance of the required levels of cleanliness and hygiene in all the catering, kitchen, cellar store areas.

6) To assist with the cleaning duties so as to leave all catering areas in a satisfactory condition after each trading session.

7) To ensure all equipment, surfaces and utensils are left in a satisfactory condition after each trading session.

8) To assist the Café Manager in ensuring that all foodstuffs are correctly ordered and stored at all times, thereby minimising the risk of contamination.

9) To assist in the serving of drinks from the cafe servery whenever practicably possible.

10) To carry out such other duties as may from time to time become necessary.

£10.42 per hour
