About our opportunity
In our expanding market, we are seeking to appoint a temporary full time Finance Administrator to assist in the accurate preparation and processing of finance and payroll duties for entities within the Raeburn/SafeLane group, maintaining accurate and reliable payroll records, ensuring all processing, reporting and payments are completed within the relevant deadlines.
Key tasks include:
Duties will involve a variety of the following:
- Producing and Issuing Sales Invoices
- Posting Sales Receipts and cash allocation
- Credit Control procedures
- Producing Statements of account
- Coding and checking Purchase Invoices
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Recording transactions via data entry
- Transaction processing of data into the project costing system
- Providing finance cover for periods of leave.
A background knowledge and experience in an accounts department, along with experience in Microsoft Excel is required, with Sage experience being ideal.
About you
Essential criteria include:
- Understanding of payroll processes and legislation
- Calculation of PAYE, NI, Pension auto enrolment, RTI, statutory payments i.e. SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP, redundancy/termination payments is an advantage
- Numerical ability and accurate data entry
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills to include tact, discretion, and confidentiality
- Attention to detail
- Demonstrated payroll processing
- Auto enrolment pension schemes
Desirable criteria include:
- Recognised Payroll Qualification

(approx 4 weeks (though could be extended)
Hours Part time 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday (daily hours flexible)
Salary £11 per hour
