CPM Engineering are a Manchester based electro-mechanical repair facility, with over 25 years' experience and one of the largest workshops in the UK.

The successful Internal Sales Engineer will be key to the continual growth of the business.

Using telephone techniques and backed up by direct and electronic marketing, the Sales Engineer will be a well organised determined individual who will assist theGeneral Manager by prospecting and arranging face to face sales meetings and opportunities for Sales team.


You will also be expected to develop sales, both internally, and externally by market analysis, customer contact, sales literature, promotions, events, and telephone prospecting.

Key Responsibilities of the Internal Sales Engineer:

  • Maximise sales of all the companies' services into existing customers and prospective customers
  • Implement Marketing Schedule as directed by the General Manager.
  • Creation of marketing information and send to prospects and customers
  • Locating and calling prospects to make appointments
  • Identify key drivers within customers
  • Sell all services into existing accounts
  • Monitor sales revenues for customers and act to maximise sales
  • Customer services calls with telephone planning
  • Management of General Manager's calendar
  • Weekly reporting of activity

Skills & Experience Required:


  • Previous experience in a similar sales & marketing environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong communicator, both verbally and written
  • Understanding of electromechanical engineering an advantage
  • Be highly committed, wellmotivated, and committed to the objectives of the business
  • Ability to adapt not only to the Company, Service and Quality Policies, but also its culture, new or redefined arrangements, skills and working circumstances.


It is anticipated that the Internal Sales Engineer role will be split in terms of telephone account management and marketing activities.
