**Temporary Contract until 31 March 2025 | £26,421 to £28,770 per annum (Scale F) | 37 hours per week | NorwichWe are looking for someone with strong organisational and communication skills to join our Talent Development Team as an HR Officer - Apprenticeships.
It's a multi-faceted role where you'll be able to get involved in a wide range of tasks and projects, and you'll contribute to the ongoing success of our apprenticeship programme across Norfolk County Council.
Our apprenticeship programme is something we're really proud of.We've supported over 1000 apprenticeship starts since the apprenticeship levy was introduced in 2017, and apprentices continue to be integral to our strategic ambitions.
From early careers to learning and development opportunities, apprenticeships help ensure we have the right skills and people in place to deliver services to the people of Norfolk.
Working in HR as part of the Talent Development Team, this role will involve providing administrative support and coordination for all apprenticeship focused activity.
You'll work closely with the HR Advisers in the team, as well as with hiring managers, training providers and apprentices, to stay on top of processes and ensure all parties are communicating effectively.
You'll have regular tasks around processes and data to keep on top of, but you'll also be able to get involved in wider projects and initiatives, as well as contributing to improvements and better ways of working.
It's a varied role where you'll need to use your initiative, prioritise your time and be proactive in your approach, and as a result you'll be able to see the positive impact of your work across the organisation.
To be considered for the role, you'll need demonstrable experience working in a role involving administration / project coordination, ideally in an HR / Apprenticeship / Learning and Development environment.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and to offer support and advice where required.
- A good understanding of apprenticeships, including the practicalities of how they work.
- A proactive approach, including the ability to take ownership of work, use your initiative, and prioritise your time.
- A solid knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
