West Sussex Alternative Provision College (WSAPC) is an educational establishment based across the county on seven separate sites, providing education for pupils whom are permanently excluded, at risk of exclusion or too ill to attend school.

Our ethos is to provide FOCUS (Future, Opportunities:
, Curriculum, Us, School) for our pupils to re-engage them in their learning and support re-integration to mainstream provision.

What we are looking for:
Teaching Assistants play a crucial role in the classroom. We are seeking an individual who can support our teachers and motivate and encourage our pupils.

About You:
Be excellent practitioners with high expectations of all pupils
Be passionate about child-centred learning
Have excellent organisational and communication skills and enjoy working in a team
Preferably have experience of working with young people
Be able to make a positive contribution to the ethos of our school
Have a firm commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities for all

Criteria for role:
Maths and English GCSE or Equivalent Grade C or above
Excellent numeracy/literacy skills equivalent to NVQ Level 2 in English & Maths
Working knowledge of national curriculum and other relevant learning programmes
Full working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice/legislationThe package we can offer:
