You will report to the
Management Team


You will be responsible for the organisation and or delivery of relevant duties in all areas of the businessacross our football andgym sites ensuring the delivery of responsibilities to the highest standard.


Job Activities

  • To maintain a professional attitude to work at all times
  • To understand fully all aspects of Health & Safety including the 'code red' procedure and fire evacuation.
  • To adhere to all procedures listed in the Standard Operation Procedures manual
  • To deal with customer complaints and queries effectively and to a high standard and to ensure the highest standard of customer service is always met
  • To undertake equipment set up and take downs according to programme activities
  • To be fully compliant in cash handling and to keep up to date with all pricing
  • To be able to deal effectively with requests from other LU departments including IT, HR, Payroll and Accounts etc
  • To referee matches and to provide football coaching if required & qualified (e.g., parties)
  • To ensure stock levels in all areas are maintained and do not run out.
  • To work with all staff members to keep the building and external areas clean, clear, litter free and presented to the highest possible standards.
  • To be able to work in a kitchen and to cook food for customers as and when required.
  • To make and respond to sales and enquiry calls and social media posts as and when required
  • To be fully compliant with the First Sport International (FSI) booking system and any other computer systems used on site
  • To ensure the 'House Rules' are maintained and adhered to at all times
  • To meet the needs of the business in all areas if required

General Service Delivery (for all staff)

Health & Safety

  • To ensure that Leisure United's Health and Safety Management System, policy and procedures are effectively implemented ensuring and that you and staff you are responsible for are trained in health and safety procedures and practice
  • To ensure that all facilities and activities are kept safe, clean and in a tidy manner and that there is adequate monitoring of cleaning and maintenance standards, and that food hygiene legislation is complied with.
  • To ensure that all equipment within the facility and used for activity is operated in accordance with the manufacturers' recommendations and appropriate codes of practice and a safe manor.
  • To ensure that statutory and other notices, such as instructions, safety posters and emergency procedures are always complied with at each centre.
  • To ensure all Leisure United venues are always presented with the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • To report all accidents and incidents together with complying with all relevant Health and Safety directives, including COSHH, and HSE requirements.
  • Ensure you and all staff you are responsible for are trained in dealing with any potential incident and accidents at the facilities.

Communication

  • To ensure customer services and organisation communication internally and externally is always exemplary.
  • To engage in proactive and effective communication with staff and customers.
  • To assist in the communication and promotion of the Trust's facilities.
  • Assist all customers who have queries complaints or require information, in a polite, friendly, and helpful manner.
  • To support Leisure United operations in sales, marketing, promotion, events, and social media campaigns when required.
  • To make recommendations for improvements to the service and ensure feedback is communicated to the appropriate staff.
  • Where appropriate ensure effective use of online services including social media

Staff Training

  • To undertake specific training programmes as required by Leisure United and take an interest in own personal development
  • Ensure you and all staff reporting to you on shift (if delegated) are trained appropriately for tasks in hand.
  • To ensure you and staff that report to you hold an acceptable DBS check if working with children or vulnerable adults.

Other

  • Maintain a professional attitude towards work and ensure operational procedures are always adhered to.
  • To always comply with Leisure United's Disciplinary and HR Policy.
  • Always take reasonable steps to ensure the health and safety of yourself, other staff and members of the public who may be affected by your actions or omissions at work.
  • Undertake such other related duties as may be allocated from time to time by the organisation management.
  • To work regular evenings, weekends, early mornings, and other anti-social shifts in line with leisure industry services.
To be flexible to required staff rota
