Working for the UKHSA

Working Pattern - Full Time, Hybrid


MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide service desk support to users and teams within the organization, and to external clients when required.
  • Providing communication and support to users regarding system updates
  • Assisting with systems enhancement activities including testing support workflows
  • Monitoring the ticketing system and ensure comprehensive database of queries and resolutions is kept up to date.
  • Maintaining and updating technical documents and procedures
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues
  • Monitor existing systems and recommend opportunities for new system developments
  • Prepare and maintain reports to support SLAs and performance monitoring
  • Support training to the users regarding any system developments
  • Monitoring system availability and provide proactive communication with operations team and users
  • Supporting appropriate testing on all systems prior to live implementation (business acceptance testing, user acceptance testing) when required
  • Support the development and maintenance of user documentation as appropriate, providing any information that might assist in help desk support and/or training of users
  • Communicate and engage effectively with a range of people, including internal and external system users. This will include dealing with enquiries promptly and courteously, escalating when required

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

  • Identify, discuss and action own professional performance and training / development needs with your line manager through appraisal / individual development plan. Attending internal / external training events
  • To participate in all mandatory training as required, i.e. fire safety, information governance and all other mandatory training.

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
The post holder will develop working relationships and communicate regularly with a wide range of individuals, clinical and non-clinical, internal and external to UKHSA


This will include:

Internal

  • HPZone and CIMS support team, including suppliers.
  • Corporate service colleagues (e.g., IT, HR and Finance)
  • Relevant specialist services where applicable

External

  • Third party supplier of CIMS design and development
  • Third party engagement support suppliers
