Description
We have an exciting opportunity for Cable Engineers to join our telecommunications team.

The purpose of the role is to build and maintain new and exciting Core Telecommunications Access Networks, specifically fibre cable pulling and installation, jointingand testing.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Ability to work safely under the National Roads and Streetworks Act.
  • NRSWA Signing, Lighting and Guarding.
  • Safe working practices and gas testing.
  • Use of Telecoms installation and test equipment.
  • Work on internal database to record actions and daily whereabouts.
  • Ensure all equipment used meets recognised safety standards including but not limited to tool testers.
  • Ability to record changes and updates made, as a result of work carried out and task closure.

Skills and Experience:


  • Full Manual Driving License
  • Trailer License.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and as part of a team.
  • Be able to prioritize. Organise and manage tasks.
  • Must be very well presented and act professionally at all times.
  • Good observational skills with a good eye for detail.
  • Very good analytical skills.
  • Have a great understanding of customer service.
  • Must have good IT skills (able to use a tablet).
  • Comfortable working outside in all elements of weather

Desirable:


  • Previous experience in a Utilities/Construction environment.
