Customer Service and Materials Planning Assistant

Grove Business Park (LE19) 1 day a week / Work from Home 4 days a week

Initial 6 month contract - likely to extend

37.5 hours a week:
Mon - Fri

Up to £14.00 an hour PAYE / umbrella rate available
We are looking for someone with customer service and materials planning experience to join our client's Supply Chain Team. This is an initial 6 month contract which is likely to extend for the right person as long as the business need is there If you have a materials planning background and are customer focused and enjoy working in a fast paced environment, this could be the opportunity you're looking for


What will the Customer Service and Materials Planning Assistant do?

  • Assist internal customers to make sure they have the parts they need, for the date they need them.
  • Check order requirements and collaborate with customers.
  • Coordinate materials and parts; with customers, colleagues, and other partners.
  • Expedite orders as required.
  • Handle customer queries with professionalism & diplomacy, to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

What skills and experience does the Customer Service and Logistics Assistant need?

  • Previous materials planning and customer service experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment, with the ability to organise, prioritise and manage your time.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal customers.
  • Analytical problem solving and putting measures in place to stop issues from reoccurring.
  • Ability to react and assist customers quickly, this is a fastpaced environment
  • Use of an MRP system and Excel
  • Self-Motivated with a proactive approach and ability to work & thrive under pressure.

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 6 months


Salary:
£12.00-£18.50 per hour
