Salary Scale SO1 £30,151 - £32,020 per annum

37 hours per week, Full Time

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join the team at Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service.

The main purpose of this role is to provide a comprehensive support and advisory service to Senior Managers and employees on all aspects of health, safety and well-being at work and to assist the Health & Safety Manager in the delivery of training and the management of health, safety and wellbeing policies and procedures.

You will be responsible for carrying out proactive accident prevention measures through developing and delivering training packages, promotions, campaigns and mentoring and evaluating their effectiveness.

You will also undertake health and safety inspections and audits, in addition to co-ordinating and monitoring the process, to enable best practise to be adopted within the Authority.

It will be important that you maintain contacts with external organisations and outside bodies to obtain all current relevant information and keep up to date with the new developments in health, safety and well-being.

Internally, you will attend and advise health and safety committees on health, safety and well-being issues.
