We are looking to recruit a Trainee Accountant to work in our busy Self Employed Department

At Broadbent's we are a very forward-thinking firm in respect of technology - we were the first firm in the country to file a quarterly update for MTD for ITSA.

We have also been selected by QuickBooks to be one of only 6 strategic partners in the country.

We are therefore looking for a team member who has got good digital skills.

The main duties will be as follows:

• Preparation of accounts for sole traders and partnerships
• Speaking with client to discuss any issues
• Preparing Tax Returns for clients
• Looking after a portfolio of clients in respect of Digital Accounting
• Dealing with clients questions
• Speaking to clients on a daily basis
• Minimum of 2 years accounting experience
• Good communication skills
• AAT part qualified
• Experience of cloud accounting software
• IT Literate as most of the work will involve accounting software
• Self motivated
• To be able to work as part of a team
• Good time keeping
• Be willing to learn on the job

We will provide training for doing the AAT exams.

Salary will be dependent on experience.

£20,000.00-£24,000.00 per year

• GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
