An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Diagnostic Imaging Department as Administration Team Lead. This vacancy is a permanent, full time role.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and patient focused individual with good communication skills, with an ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently and able to work under pressure.
We are a friendly department of 24 permanent staff, this comprises of admin, HCAs and Radiographers. The department is across two floors covering CT, MRI, Interventional Radiology, Fluoroscopy, X-ray, Mammography and Ultrasound.
Main duties of the job include:
To work flexible hours to accommodate the opening and closing of the DI department Monday to Thursday and on Fridays
To ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to by yourself and your team
To provide and efficient appointment choice to patients, consultants and other referrers with due regard to the urgency of the request
To have deep and detailed understanding of procedures and the preparation required
To register patients on arrival
To attend to any queries from patients and consultants
To book other services that may be necessary for a patients care, eg blood tests
To actively promote The Manor and Nuffield Health
To be fully competent with CRIS, PACS, IEP and PIMS
To demonstrate excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on excellent customer service
To ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation are maintained within the department at all times
To be able to implement change, multi-task and work under pressure
To take charge of rotas and annual leave for your team
To train new staff members and ensure all mandatory training is up to date
To undertake tasks as designated by the Radiology Manager
Person Specification - Essential
Computer skills
Customer service experience
Worked in a medical environment
Booking and administration experience
