JOB SUMMARY

Experience:


  • Previous experience working in the industry preferred.
  • Ex armed forces/ Police services.

  • Able to work alone and within a team

Education or Certification

  • Good level of English essential

SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • To assess and report potential loss situations in the hotel in order that accidental Profit loss may be prevented.
  • To report and investigate all thefts and criminal offences in the hotel or affecting the hotel, and during the tour of duty, record all relevant incidents in the Occurrence book.
  • To assess and report potential safety hazards in order that remedial action are taken.
  • The identification and removal of all prostitutes and other undesirables who are seen to be of detriment to the hotel and / or its clients.
  • To ensure the secure handling of all cash movements throughout the hotel.
  • To liaise with guest, clients on behalf of the hotel and the Director of Loss Prevention in his absence or behalf.
  • To assist in enquiry's from the civil police or other Government departments and law enforcement agencies.
  • To respond immediately to all fire alarms and act in accordance with policy and procedures with regard to fire, also to respond to all exit and security alarms, making a full investigation and reporting accordingly.
  • To adhere to any other reasonable instruction from management.
  • To be familiar with anti-terrorist and bomb threat procedure and are able to act as a leader in the event of emergency.
  • To render prompt assistance in the case of a fire, Accident or any other emergency that may arise.
  • To check that all fire doors and escape routes are clear and to patrol the building as directed by management.
  • To comply with the standing orders for the security department.
  • To ensure all security and hotel records are maintained in the manner instructed by the Director of Loss Prevention.

- by studying professional publications to keep abreast of new developments, trends and systems in the security field of today


  • To ensure personal compliance with Health and Safety, Fire and Hygiene regulations and to ensure that staff are fully aware of their responsibilities in this respect and comply with them.
