On behalf of our client, Head First is recruiting for support workers to join an established 24/7 care team that provides care to a 70-year old gentleman with an acquired brain injury who lives in his own home in the Sandown area, Isle of Wight.

A variety of shifts are available throughout the day and night with 1:1 and 2:1 care.

Client requires support with all aspects of care and is fully dependent on others.

£ £17.98 per hour depending on shifts worked

Time-and-a-half on bank holidays


Support requirements:


We are recruiting for a regular support worker to join our dedicated team.


Currently, we mostly have regular afternoon double up shifts available 14:1- 18:45, but other shifts are available too for occasional cover.

Team follows a monthly rolling rota

  • Flexibility is required to cover holidays and sickness ( days and nights)
  • Hours of work include weekdays, weekends and bank holidays.
  • Up to date DBS at enhanced level required paid for by the employer.

What are we looking for ?

  • Applicant must show passion and commitment for the role, with an opportunity to get to know our client and make a difference to his daily living.
  • Ability to bring your own strengths and interests to the team.
  • Must have previous support experience.
  • Experience of working with individuals with a brain injury would be an advantage but its not essential as support and training is provided.
  • Good sense of humour
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Must be able to show flexibility to provide cover depending on the client's needs and wishes

About Head First:

Head-First also provide regular 1:1 clinical supervision and 24/7 emergency on-call support.

Head-First have experienced payroll and human resources teams so support workers always have a point of contact for employment and pay queries.


Head-First do not directly employ support workers, but we recruit them on behalf of our clients, and our dedicated and experienced case managers are responsible for the day-to-day management of the support team.

We provide access to mandatory training and brain injury specific training.


Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 8 per week


Salary:
£13.50-£17.98 per hour
