Ashton Recruitment requires an Accounts assistant
for our client based in Antrim

Position Accounts assistant - Sales/Credit Control


Location:
Antrim


Duration:
Temporary
- Permanent


Rate of Pay:
£12 per hour


Hours of Work:37 Hours per week ranging from 09:00-17:00 (TBC)


Duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Checking / processing of sales invoices
  • Posting cash in STG/EUR currencies
  • Receiving bacs card payments
  • Reconciling debtors
  • Reconciling cash receipts
  • Contacting customers for payment
  • Ensuring cash is allocated correctly to debtors accounts
  • Opening customer accounts after approval
  • Ensuring all sales are invoiced in a timely manner (in conjunction with sales manager)
  • Processing customer statements after sales month end complete.
  • Answering customer queries
  • Assisting the sales reps with payment/invoice queries
  • Completing cheque lodgement book
  • Ensuring invoices received as per Finance manager
  • Intrastats arrivals / dispatches
  • Raising credits (need authorised)
  • Assisting with petty cash

Essential Criteria:


  • 1+ years' experience in a previous role
  • Excellent customer service
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Analytical skills and thorough attention to detail
  • The ability to listen and negotiate with customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Familiarity with data entry software
  • Ability to work well in a team
