Temporary PT Highways Stakeholder Relationship Officer

£13.41 per hour PAYE


This opening assignment is for 5-6 months Within the Highways Programme Co-ordination, Stakeholder & Relationship Management & Highways Customer Services Teams, undertake, project management, case management, customer engagement and liaison across the service portfolio.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Case & Project Management complex and challenging cases and provide detailed responses to customer and stakeholder enquires.
  • Case manage and support the Principle Stakeholder and Relationship Officer in liaison with internal & external engagements and the Highways Commissioning, Corporate Communication teams, other groups across the Councils portfolio together with Members and Local Parish Councils etc. on a range of highways matters.
  • Support the Principle Stakeholder and Relationship Officer in project management, liaison and case management with GCC Highways Commissioned partners on a range of highway matters: Atkins, Ringway & Tarmac.
  • Assist in the provision of business and relationship management support with the key portfolios of; Programme Coordination, Stakeholder Management & Highways Customers Services.
  • Assist in the realisation of business efficiencies and financial savings through the effective use of Highways Commissioning Management Information systems within the service area or through other innovative ways of working.
  • Case Manage corporate complaints, undertake investigation, information gathering and coordination together with representations related to Political and Social related issues and respond as required.
  • Project Manage & Coordinate projects allocated as required.
  • Ensure the quality of information/statistical data produced meets corporate standards and is fit for purpose.
  • Support the Principle Stakeholder and Relationship Officer with the complaints and statutory procedures within relevant service area.
  • Undertake such other duties related to the work of the organisation as may be assigned that are consistent with the nature of the job and its level of responsibility.

Qualifications:


  • Good levels of literacy and numeracy evidenced by GCSEs Grade A-C, NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Experience:


  • Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
  • Experience of dealing with a range of challenging and contentious matters requiring a degree of support, persuasion and advocacy, and an awareness of the applicable wider policy objectives.
  • Experience of producing written reports and key findings such as investigative reports.
  • Experience of working in;
  • Customer Relationship or similar environment.
  • Experience in complex Negotiations.
  • Experience in Analysis/presentation of data.
  • Experience in dealing with and understanding the environment that relates to Political and Social related issues.

Skills & Abilities:


  • Ability to manage own work load to achieve targets and deadlines by planning and working efficiently.
  • Ability to analyse and produce written and verbal summaries of available evidence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work alone or as part of a team and set high standards by example.
  • Ability to lead.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good level of digital competency.
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
