Job title: 1:1 Teaching assistant ASD (Primary)

Location :
Newcastle Upon Tyne

Hours: 8:30 - 3:30pm

Salary :
£83 - £110 per day

A good Primary school in Newcastle is looking a teaching assistant to work in a mainstream Primary school supporting a child with ASD.

At times you could be on an alternative curriculum and using different strategies to support the child for example visual timetable, sensory breaks.

You may work between the hours 8:30 - 3:30pm.

1:1 Teaching Assistant role

Supporting the pupils in their education through the school's own curriculum
Supporting the class teacher with recording attainment, behaviour plans and EHCP paperwork
Carrying out interventions with a 1:
Following the school's behaviour management policy effectively
Promoting independence with life skills
Providing an outstanding level of safeguarding and pastoral care
Be available for work Monday to Friday
Have some experience with autism (desirable but not essential)
Be proactive, energetic, kind and nurturing.
Have an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with ourselves)
A full checkable work history

In addition to that, we are currently offering £100 for the successful referral of either Teachers or Teaching Assistants.
