Health Records Clerks - Band - Permanent

3 x 37.5 Hours Per Week - 08:30 to 17:00 Monday to Friday

An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our friendly Health Records Team.

The post holder will support with the prefile of patient records, processing iron mountain returns, in the first instance, some preparation of patient records for clinic and inpatient activity.

Duties also include answer telephone queries and using our Patient Administration and Associated Information Systems. The post holder will support the SARS Team in processing requests within strict deadlines.


The post requires the use of kick stools and step ladders to retrieve files and involves long periods of being on your feet.


The post holder will work as part of our weekday team, supporting our Health Records service that operates 24hrs a day, 365 days a year, including bank holidays.


Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust provides integrated acute and community Healthcare in the West Midlands serving a population of 260,000 residents.

Walsall Manor Hospital houses the full range of district general hospital services. The £170 million development was completed in 2010 and we are continually upgrading.

Construction of the new integrated critical care unit was completed in 2018, extension of a Neonatal Unit and brand new, state of the art Emergency Department is in the process of being completed.
