Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, this is a key role within the Operations Department, which will drive the strategic positioning and development of the whole Quality function within Bramble Energy.


The role will be accountable for all elements of Quality, from developing Bramble Energy's Quality Management System to ensuring the company is perennially compliant with all appropriate industry and territory standards, defining and validating both our own product quality targets as well as those of our associated supply chains and management of the quality systems and processes required to ensure compliance to those standards / targets.


Job Description:


  • Strategic and tactical responsibility for implementing a Quality strategy and management system within Bramble Energy to ensure organisational and operational goals are achieved from a quality, cost, timing and delivery perspective.
  • Lead and manage the quality function from new product introduction through to warranty analysis to ensure a proactive culture is in place so that customers receive the product to the highest standard of quality possible
  • Work closely with all internal and external stakeholders, targeting manufacturing, supply chain, aftersales, warranty, and commercial departments and customers directly, ensuring the correct level of support for their activities related to quality and cost deliverables.
  • Responsible for all processes and procedures aimed at optimising production quality levels and supporting the continuous improvement of operational performance. Coordinating best practices across all areas of the organisation and undertaking assessments to ensure standards are maintained and processes adhered to.
  • Manage and maintain the processes for compliance and accreditation to all business and product related standards
  • Define, monitor and report Key Performance Indicators associated with Quality performance across all relevant areas of the business to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
  • Drive any necessary culture change and improvement in business performance to deliver strategic quality goals
  • Accountability for the reduction of Cost of Quality, including inhouse scrap and waste, Production defects, in field warranty
  • Assist in continuous improvement activities throughout the business ensuring that problems are prevented and that customer requirement is met with any problems resolved effectively and economically
  • Work to prevent nonconformances, customer complaints, concession, and rework alongside Manufacturing/ Engineering and Operations to develop corrective and preventative actions within the required timeframe
  • Lead, manage and maintain internal and external quality and audits are scheduled and carried out effectively, prioritising rectification plans and actions to close out nonconformances as expediently as possible.
Person Specification

  • Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development
  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key internal and external stakeholders at all organisational levels
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities

Qualifications:


  • Demonstrable experience of developing and leading a quality function within an products focused organisation delivering effective and evolving quality strategies, policies, processes, and systems
  • Significant experience in high volume manufacturing environments, preferably within the fuelcell and / or electronics industries
  • Strong demonstrable experience of the management, use and presentation of established quality and new product introduction tools and techniques (i.e. DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, 8D, 5WHY, Ishikawa diagrams, PPS, etc.)
  • Significant experience in the successful delivery, management and maintenance of external quality standards accreditation and audits, including ISO9001:2015 as a minimum, knowledge of ISO14001:2015 is also desirable.
  • Appropriate and recognised qualification in quality management
  • Preferably educated to degree level in a relevant discipline
  • Ideally trained and qualified as an internal Auditor
