Our highly reputable client is hiring an Assistant Financial Accountanton an ongoing temporary basiswithin the Peterborough area

The role will be hybrid, allowing you to work from the office and home. Full time hours Monday-Friday (office hours)

Reporting directly to the Financial Accounting Manager the main duties of your role will be to assist in the preparation of annual accounts, and providing transactional support to enable stakeholder engagement.

You will also be expected to manage/assistin the monthly reconciliation, preparation, and monitoring process and in the preparation of underlying Financial Accounting data.

Your main accountabilities will be...

Support the Financial Accounting Manager in managing the yearend accounts timetable through provision of appropriate documentation to support audit queries and assist in the preparation of the annual statutory accounts.
Assist internal audit team in the performance of audits.
Work collaboratively with other Financial Accountants and Finance Business partners to ensure timely and accurate production of the monthly trial balance, coding and posting journal entries to enable the generation of accurate management reports and balancesheets.

This is just to name a few the role will allow you to delve into other financial functions within the business and be involved in a range of tasks.

*Minimum AAT qualified or part qualified ACCA/CIMA

Experience of working in an accounting environment to include financial accounting procedures and financial practices for both income and expenditure transactions.

Intermediate level user of Microsoft Excel and experience using ERP systems, Ideally Dynamics NAV or Business Central.
