Duties and Responsibilities Communication and Working Relationships Work in partnership with all health, social care professionals and other stakeholders maintaining effective communication that benefits the patients wellbeing.
To be effective, clear and accurate when using all forms or communication throughout the organisation, using different styles and methods of communicating relevant to the complexity of the context and recipient.
To organise and facilitate meetings, and participate in Trust wide meetings ensuring effective cascading of information to area of responsibility.
To ensure effective methods and systems are in place to facilitate communication with all members of the multi-disciplinary team, between ward based team members, ward members and other areas of the Trust and wider Network.
To provide and receive highly complex information to inform meetings and decision making on safeguarding adults issues where there may be a highly emotive atmosphere.
To work as an integral member of the Trust Central Safeguarding Team and receive professional supervision through the Trust Safeguarding Team Analytical and Judgement Skills To ensure that all facts around complex safeguarding adults issues are collated, analysed and interpreted accurately and in a timely manner To compare options and assess risk assess to patients, staff and service To provide advice and direction to staff, escalating matters as appropriate.
Planning and Organisation Skills To plan and organise complex activities ensuring effective use of available resources to maintain safety and ensure that this is within budget.
Implement and evaluate systems to monitor risk. Plan, formulate and adjust complex safeguarding adults actions Co-ordinates activities with other agencies, other directorates and professions.Responsibility for Patient/Client Care, Treatment and Therapy To support development of a specialised a safeguarding adults programme for the directorate, liaising with Trust safeguarding lead as appropriate To provide highly specialised advice and guidance to staff on safeguarding adults, monitoring and reviewing in line with current clinical guidance, practice and policy.
Responsible for ensuring that the requirements of the Mental Health Act 1983 & 2007 and Mental Capacity Act (2005 and 2019) are implemented, observed and adhered to.
Responsible for the maintenance of data records necessary for safeguarding adults Responsibility for Research and Development To be aware of national and professional developments.
