Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of tool makers to ensure the efficient production of highquality tools and components.
- Oversee the scheduling and allocation of tasks to the team, ensuring timely completion of projects and adherence to production schedules.
- Mentor and train junior tool makers, fostering their skill development and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to review technical specifications, drawings, and requirements for new tools and modifications.
- Conduct quality inspections and implement corrective actions to maintain the highest level of precision and accuracy in tool production.
- Monitor inventory levels of tooling materials and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure a steady supply chain.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tooling processes, equipment, and machinery, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and promote a safe working environment for the team.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in tool making technology and implement improvements accordingly.
- Collaborate with management to optimize production processes, reduce costs.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Tool Maker, with a minimum of 5 years of handson toolmaking experience.
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience is preferred.
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, CAD models, and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of tooling materials, machining techniques, and precision measurement instruments.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, and other relevant toolmaking equipment.
- Solid understanding of safety protocols and the ability to enforce them effectively.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional technical certifications or qualifications are a plus.
