About The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for HV Systems Buyer to join our team in Bishopstoke.

You will report to the Purchasing Manager, and be responsible for managing the Company's spend in respect of HV Systems procurement activities ensuring that products and services, including sub-contracted activities and raw material supply, are supplied at the best value and in accordance with Company requirements.


You will work closely with the HV business, owning the onboarding of suppliers through a designated PQQ process, negotiating contracts with suppliers to obtain greatest value, enhancing or maintaining contract terms and conditions to reduce commercial risk and generating timely and accurate statistical information and analysis.


Responsibilities:


  • Negotiate, review and reconcile subcontractor packages, flow down terms and programme requirements through the tender process.
  • Produce procurement programmes and ensure these are adhered to in order to provide timely information to internal customers.
  • Support the Commercial Team in value engineering specific projects; assisting with subcontract enquiries at tender stage.
  • Attend handover meetings ensuring subcontractor procurement is carried out in line with Production Team requirements.
  • Aid in the delivery of cost savings and cost reduction innovations. To measure & review performance and implement continuous improvement.
  • Preparation of Management Plan in line with company procedures & Central Purchasing guidelines.


Qualifications & Requirements- Ideally hold a HNC/Degree level within a with broad experience in a commercial environment.- Proven commercial acumen- Hold excellent analytical and budgeting abilities together with the skills to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal customers.- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office and experience of SAP will be essential.- Ability to leverage persuasive inter-personal skills enabling lasting and influential relationships to be built.- Tenacity and the drive to succeed in a commercial environment are additional qualities required in this role.
