Howarth Morris are looking to recruit an Part Qualified Management Accountant/Finance Business Partner for a well-known professional services organisation in Preston.

The Role
***The role is to support and work in partnership with a Finance Business Partner covering a blended portfolio of Faculty and Service Budget Holders in providing financial support, budget setting, strategic planning & review and operational delivery.


As a key part of the FP&A Business Partnering Team, the role provides an opportunity to work in a fast-paced developing role, enhancing the financial support provided by FP&A to assist the ongoing growth and development of the organisation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Budget Holders to ensure that due consideration is given to the financial implications of all decisions including modelling of costs and scenario planning.
  • Prepare and present information and analysis of the financial plans and performance of the budgets to the rest of the Senior Operational Management Team.
  • Ensure Budget Holders adhere to Financial Regulations and corporate financial strategy in their operational plans.
  • Appraisal of business cases, business change proposals and tender submissions.
  • Support the delivery of robust financial control, including development and implementation of improvements in processes and procedures.
  • Highlight operational or financial risks and, where appropriate, supporting the resolution to minimising identified risks.
  • Build efficient working relationships with business partners and their teams.
  • Minimum Part Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) and looking to progress to full qualification.
  • Strong Excel skills (data visualisation, dashboard creation and manipulation of large data sets. VBA would be advantageous).
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Experience of various ERP systems and tools.
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Good organisational/communication skills
