Job Description and Person SPECIFICATION

Scope and General Purpose:


With the ability of being able to work off own initiative and in a highly organised manner, communicating openly and honestly will ensure 'Urban Meadow' becomes the successful destination venue it is designed to be.

As the restaurant Team Leader you will play a pivotal role in delivering the business results.
Enjoyment of working in a high-pressured, fast paced environment is a key attribute whilst ensuring the team are trained to provide the flawless service our customers deserve each and every time

Key Accountabilities:


  • To ensure the food and service delivered to the highest of expectations and if not an ability to rectify in a way that guest's feel satisfied
  • To ensure the ambience and atmosphere is clean, fun, friendly and inviting
  • To demonstrate in depth knowledge of both the food and beverage menu with an ability to impart this knowledge to the whole team
  • To lead in a manner that befits the role and ensure the whole team do likewise

People

  • To manage the business through a handson, proactive approach
  • To have handson approach to the service ensuring at all times awareness of how the shift is progressing. Also pro
- active in engaging both guests and staff to deliver the best possible customer experience

  • To provide fun and informative briefings at the beginning and end of every shift
  • To build relationships with the other departments and communicate in a professional manner
  • To actively participate in the recruitment and development of team members ensuring 'Urban Meadow's' procedures are followed at all time
  • To complete Return to Work interviews will absent team members communicating any issues to the Manager
  • To champion Fourth in teaching new starters how to process holiday, view their payslips and update their personal details
  • To support the Manager in delivering regular, motivational team meetings ensuring minutes are typed up and submitted to HR within 3 days

Quality

  • To ensure all food and beverage delivered to our customers meets standards
  • To ensure bookings are handled in a proactive, professional and business friendly manner
  • To ensure the shift is set for success and that all items are available
  • To provide effective handovers to next shift, highlighting any potential issues
  • To effectively build relationships with customers to enhance the experience and drive repeat business
  • To complete paperwork for each shift, including any health and safety that may be required
  • To follow open and close procedures checking team members have opened their sections and closed their sections in the correct manner

Profit

  • To lead by example and upsell at every opportunity
  • To identify new sales opportunities
  • Proactively monitor on a daily on going basis staffing levels as required to meet current demand
  • To organise shift incentives to ensure sales budgets and service are delivered
  • To actively participate in stock ordering ensuring costs are in line with budget whilst maintaining availability at all times
  • To monitor and communicate rota changes
  • To ensure customer feedback is handled in a professional and effective manner
  • To complete the time and attendance module on a shift basis
  • To ensure all staff have login access to the fourth system
  • To work with the Manager in the processing of the weekly payroll ensuring it is accurate and meets the required timeframes
  • To post all dockets on the inhouse system highlighting any discrepancies
  • To adhere to key and cash handling procedures, including balancing and paying in the shifts takings, voids and refunds agreed and signed off
