You are a senior banking operations leader with significant experience managing operational teams as well as contributing towards, and influencing change programs which drive efficiencies and foster continuous improvement of processes.

Morgan's EMEA Private Bank serves the complex wealth management needs of ultra-high net worth clients in countries across the region.

You will be part of the Private Banking Operations team, focused on modernizing our platform and thus impacting change in our processes and operations that make our businesses work.


As a Senior Manager in the EMEA Operations Leadership team you will play a key role in the operations "run the bank" team where you are expected to contribute insights on operational processes and the business context to the program.


You will be heavily involved in the design and integration of the future target operating model on the new platform in collaboration with key stakeholders, supporting the Business growth.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and lead Operations' plan to modernize core platform, workflow and processes and building capability in the team to align to the new Target Operating Model.
  • Design a datadriven operations team focusing on Business insights, new KPIs, Business SLAs and control thresholds.
  • Be part of the EMEA Operations leadership team and act as a trusted advisor to the Wealth Management leadership team on all operational aspects.
  • Implement policies, procedures, and controls to ensure regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Manage the risk profile of the operations team by ensuring there is robust business continuity in place and sufficient testing of the systems and processes to minimize operational failures.
  • Work with Cross Functional teams (Technology, Finance, Project Management Office, Compliance and Risk management), to ensure successful integration of new system and processes.
  • Collaborate with business partners across various departments to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and improvements.
  • Responsible for managing (Objective setting and performance management) and developing (coaching, career progression and training) people.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, thirdparty service providers and regulators.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to ensure that the bank's operations remain competitive and compliant.

Required qualifications **, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience running Banking Operations teams, with primary focus on Private Banking Operations (Credit, Derivatives or Asset Servicing Operations).
  • Experience in leading core platform modernization initiatives and designing target operating models for a successful operations transition post implementation.
  • Familiar with Design Thinking principles.
  • Strong understanding of the Operations ecosystem
- controls, reconciliation, documentation, and operational risk management.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve operational excellence. Challenge status quo and find the optimal operating model that can support future business growth
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex operational issues.
  • Lead by example and be a culture carrier. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders (partnership mindset).

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Managing an operational team using Temenos will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Analytics platform such as Alteryx and Tableau.
  • Ability to effectively maximize delivery of business goals and returns on investment.
