As we continue to expand our presence both nationally and globally, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Legal to join our dynamic team.

Job Description:

As the Head of Legal, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic legal counsel and guidance to our luxury FMCG spirits brands.

You will be responsible for overseeing all legal matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and safeguarding the company's interests.

Your expertise, attention to detail, and ability to navigate complex legal landscapes will be instrumental in supporting our business growth and protecting our brands.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement legal strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of matters, including contract negotiations, intellectual property, advertising and marketing compliance, employment law, and data protection.

Conduct legal research and analysis to stay abreast of legal developments and potential impacts on the business, and proactively advise stakeholders on any necessary actions.

Review and negotiate various contracts, agreements, and legal documents, ensuring they are in line with company objectives and mitigate risks.

Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including senior management, sales, marketing, and product development teams, to identify and address legal issues and provide practical solutions.

Manage external legal counsel relationships, engaging them as needed and ensuring the efficient delivery of legal services.

Lead the resolution of legal disputes and litigation, working with relevant parties to achieve favorable outcomes.

Develop and deliver training programs and resources to educate employees on legal matters and promote legal compliance across the organization.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Law. Postgraduate degree or relevant legal certifications are highly desirable.
Qualified solicitor or barrister with a minimum of 6 years of legal experience, including substantial experience in a corporate or commercial legal role.
Strong knowledge of FMCG or spirits industry regulations and best practices.
Excellent understanding of intellectual property law, contract law, and commercial negotiations.
Proven ability to provide sound legal advice, identify and mitigate risks, and make decisions that align with business objectives.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts to nonlegal stakeholders.
Strong leadership and managerial abilities, with the capacity to build and lead a highperforming legal team.

Salary:
£80,228.64-£120,000.00 per year
