Spacebuilder Ltd is an established SME business working in the Modular / Temporary Accommodation Industry located in Manchester M30.

Modular Building Fitters / Installers Required_

We are looking for highly motivated operatives and installers to join our experienced and dedicated team.

You will be based in Manchester, at our Irlam depot where you will work on building, refurbishing and the preparation of all types of temporary site cabins and modular buildings.

On-site experience as a joiner, carpenter, shopfitter or site installer is required.

Previous modular experience and building trade knowledge is an advantage but specific job training will be given.

You should be self-motivated and must be willing to learn, able to work well in a team and also on your own initiative, within a busy working environment.

You must work to a high standard and be physically able to lift insulated panels, plasterboard etc into position, when refurbishing buildings.

A current driving licence is required and CSCS, PASMA, general Health & Safety Awareness training would be an advantage. On
- going training will be given and personal development is encouraged.

Wages are negotiable according to ability, experience and skill level. Normal starting wages are from £13.50 per hour, but are negotiable depending upon skill and experience. Starting wages will be reviewed after 3 months dependant upon reliability, knowledge and commitment.

JOB ROLE WILL REQUIRE:

• Excellent timekeeping
• Good communication skills
• Proactive cando attitude and ability to problem

• Ability to prioritise & work under pressure
• General 1st & 2nd fix joinery,
• Internal ripouts prior to refurbishing modular accommodation
• Roof structures, stud walls & floor structures,
• Installation of internal walls, floors & ceilings
• Finishing joinery skirting, architrave, internal/external doors, plasterboarding
• Experience in reading drawings & written instructions.
• Knowledge of Modular Construction or Multiple Trade Skills is an advantage
• Site work experience an advantage
• Must be fully aware of all statutory requirements and H&S obligations.

REQUIRED

• Time served or minimum NVQ 2 in Joinery or equivalent.
• Own basic range of hand & power tools, 110v required

Salary:
From £30,500.00 per year
